2026 Dali Galaxy Starry Discourse Astronomical Symposium

  • Introduction

    The Dali Galaxy Starry Discourse Astronomical Symposium is a series of academic symposia hosted by the Institute of Astronomy and Information of Dali University and the Silk Road Astronomy Research and Education Alliance (Silk Road AREA). It is held in Dali in the mid to late July each year, aiming to promote academic exchanges in stellar astronomy, the Milky Way and multiple star systems, and jointly advance the academic and technological development of astronomy and informatics. The main research fields for the 2026 Dali Galaxy Starry Discourse Astronomical Symposium include: Stellar Astronomy and the Milky Way, Nearby Galaxies, Binary Astrophysics, Astronomical High-Performance Computing, AI Applications in Astronomy, and other related fields.

     

    I. Conference Notes

    (i) The symposium is hosted by the Institute of Astronomy and Information of Dali University and co-organized by several domestic astronomical institutions.

    (ii) Time: Mid to late July 2026 (tentatively July 17-19)

    (iii) Venue: Dali University

    (iv) Participants are responsible for their own transportation, accommodation and catering expenses during the symposium. The conference organizer can assist with the reservation and arrangement of hotel rooms.

    (v) Online registration and submission of abstracts for oral presentations or posters are required for the symposium. The registration period and detailed participation information will be announced on the official website at a later date.

    The hotel reservation system features the official conference hotels for this symposium. Participants requiring hotel accommodation are requested to book their rooms via the conference registration portal. Only a reservation is required, with no advance payment needed. If you wish to share a standard twin room with another participant, please indicate the name and affiliated institution of your roommate; for two participants sharing a standard twin room, only one reservation is required by either party. Participants booking a single room need not add any additional notes. The reservation deadline is June 22, 2026.
